Better Together is the national LGBTIQ+ conference organised by The Equality Project.

First held in 2018, the conference aims to explore issues facing the LGBTIQ+ movement, bringing together voices from Indigenous communities, people with a disability, the deaf community, as well as multicultural and multi-faith communities. More than 600 people attended the 2018 summit, with delegate from across Australia, the US, UK and Asia.

In 2019, the conference will be held in Sydney on:

JOIN THE ACON VOLUNTEER TEAM!

ACON is a proud supporter of Better Together 2019.

We’re looking for volunteers to assist on both days of the conference (11-12 January). As a volunteer, you’ll assist with a range of duties such as registering delegates, providing directions, helping with setting up rooms etc. In exchange, volunteers will get access to all conference sessions (once your shift is over or as duties allow).

Better Together 2019 will bring together diverse, inspiring and powerful LGBTIQ+ voices so as a volunteer, this is a great opportunity to meet LGBTIQ+ people from around Australia, join in the conversation and support our communities.

Better Together 2019 is on Friday 11 January and Saturday 12 January. 

Volunteer shifts are half day. But volunteers are welcome to do a full day.

Volunteers must be 18 and over.
