Celebrate this Mardi Gras season with SPARK for our 2021 Youth History Walk!
This year we’ll be going down memory lane through the State Library of NSW to visit their Coming Out in the 70s exhibition.
The exhibition tells the stories of LGBTQI+ communities in the 70s and pays tribute to the people and events that drove this profound social change, offering rich and compelling context for continuing debates and issues around LGBTQI+ experiences and life today.
We’ll be having a private tour with former gay activist and community historian, Robert French, who has been leading history tours for over 30 years, often in conjunction with the Sisters of the Order of Perpetual Indulgence.
SPARK’s Youth History Walk is for LGBTQ+ people aged 18-26 years old.
Due to COVID guidelines, spots for this event are limited to adhere to safety guidelines.
If you are feeling unwell or experiencing cold/flu symptoms, please do not attend the event.
If you’ve registered and are no longer able to attend, please let us know so that we can open up spaces for others. If you have any questions you can contact us at [email protected].
