Thank you for your interest in Co-creating community care: ACON’s peer-led workshops on LGBTQ+ experiences of suicide.
Across four different sessions, these workshops will focus on topics such as sharing resources, cultivating relationships, forming a care team, empowering your voice and asserting your rights when talking about suicide and navigating support services.
The workshops will centre the knowledge and experiences of attendees and be an opportunity to engage in shared learning. It is important to understand that the workshops are not designed as a therapeutic space and there will be no clinicians or counsellors available during the workshops. The focus is to provide a peer-led, lived experience supportive environment. For this reason, we ask a series of questions in the registration form that ask you to provide and reflect on.
Each workshop will be delivered twice: once via Zoom and once in-person in Ashfield, NSW.
Attendee Capacity: 25 people for the in-person workshops | 20 people for the online workshops
We’d love for you to fill out the following form as best as you can, so that we can direct you to the most suitable workshop. There are no right or wrong answers, we are just hoping to get a snapshot of who you are and what your needs may be. Please feel free to be as detailed as you’d like to be.
