ACON is hosting a new online social group for LGBTQ+ people with disability in NSW who are over 18 years old.
Disability Justice Social Group is a space to share experiences, build community connections, and discover LGBTQ+ inclusive events, programs and services for people with disability.
Who: This group is for any LGBTQ+ person with disability, including neurodivergent people, people with chronic illnesses, Deaf and hard of hearing people, and anyone else with a long-term physical, mental, cognitive, intellectual or sensory impairment.
When: Every second Wednesday 6pm-7pm, starting from 12 June 2024.

Accessibility:
- The group meets on Zoom, and we will use the transcript and captioning features.
- Auslan interpreters are available by request – please give us 5 working days’ notice (Monday-Friday) to book interpreters.
- The registration form includes space to share your access needs. Please let us know about anything that we can do to make this space safe, accessible and comfortable for you.
- We recognise that sometimes people have conflicting accessibility needs. Our peer facilitators will support group conversations about ways to navigate this so that everyone can participate.
