LGBTI Experiences of Alcohol and Other Drug Services

Are you willing to take part in research about your experience of Alcohol and other Drug services?

Researchers from the Centre for Social Research in Health at UNSW Sydney, ACON, and the Network of Alcohol and other Drugs Agencies (NADA) are seeking volunteer research participants for a study about alcohol and other drug (AOD) services for LGBTI people. We hope to use the findings to improve alcohol and other drug services for LGBTI people. You have been invited to participate because you are a current or former client of an AOD support service.

Would the research study be a good fit for me?

We are seeking participants who:

  • Are aged 18 years or older.

  • Identify as LGBTI, queer, or another term that represents a non-heterosexual and/or non-cisgendered experience.

  • Currently or have previously been a client of AOD support service

What does participation involve?

  • Taking part in a face-to-face or telephone interview about 30 minutes with a researcher from UNSW

  • Telling us about your experiences and perceptions of AOD support service.

Will I be paid to take part in the research study?

You will receive a $40 gift voucher in appreciation of your time and effort.
